Before you start learning to drive you must ensure:
- You are over 17 years of age
- You have a full provisional licence, if you do not then you can obtain the application form from a post office
- You are able to read a number plate from approximately 20.5 meters / 67feet away
To obtain your full licence there are two tests that you need to pass
- Theory Test:
The theory test is made up of two parts, the multiple choice and hazard perception, you need to pass both parts to pass the theory test. If you pass one part and fail the other you will fail the whole test and will need to re-sit both parts again.
- Driving test:
the driving test is straightforward and has been designed to see if you:
(a).
Can drive safely
(b).
Know the highway code and can demonstrate this through your driving
